Volunteer Outreach Posters

Photography & Poster Design

I accompanied Portland Parks Conservancy volunteers over several months–following them to a historic Civil War Era island fort as well as the city’s youngest park–to capture candid photos of volunteers for this poster series.

A common question received by the Conservancy: “Do volunteers do anything besides remove trash?” These action shots allow the viewer to imagine themselves doing so much more than that: working alongside other volunteers, planting flower beds, removing invasive species, and exploring Portland’s diverse parks.
