Frogspotting at Maine Wildlife Park

When I was in grade school learning about camouflage, I laughed at the idea that animals couldn’t see each other in plain sight all because of some spots or brown coloring. It turns out I am not particularly skilled in this department myself. I spent a good twenty minutes trying to spot frogs at the Maine Wildlife Park this weekend. Josh has a much sharper eye than myself, but I am proud to say that I spotted one frog before he did. I swear there are frogs in all of these photos. See if you can spot them! (Or just scroll to the bottom of the page for the answers.)

A frog on a log hidden among lush grasses, and water ripples.
A frog looks out onto a quiet pond while perched on small rocks.
A frog on a grey plank of old wood crossing a shallow area of a pond with fish and tadpoles swimming in it

Where are the frogs? 1: Where the log, mossy rock, and water meet. 2: In the middle of the photo, where the log dips below the waterline. 3: On a rock in the bottom center of photo, near the water’s edge. 4: In the shaded section of the plank, near bottom left corner.
