Frozen ponds & sculptures in the woods

I took a day trip on Friday to the Langlais Art Preserve, where Bernard Langlais’ larger-than-life wooden sculptures dot the field and woods of Cushing, Maine. Many of the sculptures are visible from the road, with more along an easy trail that leads into the woods. Although no snow had been seen in Portland, the first snow of the season was still dusting the ground up here, and I came upon a frozen pond which had thawed in some spots.
